  • Do you provide training across UAE?

    Yes. Our staff are fully trained in our hair beauty treatments we provide and we continue to update our training at regular intervals, so that we may provide you with the best beauty services possible.

  • What are the key ingredients in the KYO ( strong or soft ) smoothing Treatment?

    Keratin, vitamins A, C, E and B, folic acid , zinc and Shea Butter.

  • How long after the service can my client tie her hair back or shampoo her hair?

    No waiting period is required. Clients can shower, shampoo or tie the hair back on the same day as the service.

  • What are the key ingredients in the KYO ( Protein ) smoothing Treatment?

    Protein, Caviar, Sericin and Amino Acids

  • Is KYO Treatment compatible with hennas?

    Yes. KYO Keratin & Protein Treatment is compatible with all other services offered in a professional salon.

  • Can I apply hair color/toner right after doing a KYO Keratin or Protein Treatment?

    No. We recommend hair color be applied two days before the KYO Keratin or Protein Treatment to better lock the pigment into the hair.

  • Can KYO Treatment be performed after straightening/relaxing services?

    Yes. For best results on very frizzy or ethnic hair types, we recommend performing straightening/relaxing before the KYO Keratin treatment. If the hair is extremely damaged or compromised from other chemical treatment, use low heat settings on flat iron and pass over the hair no more than six times.

  • Can the KYO Treatment be used on pregnant women?

    We do not recommend it be used on pregnant women/breast feeding or children under the age of 12.

  • When the customer wants a touch-up, should the procedure be done on the whole head of hair?

    Yes. However, use only three times on the end of the hair shaft to maintain healthy, natural looking ends.

  • What happens if solution is applied to the scalp?

    The consumer could have an adverse reaction. If a client has any signs of redness, swelling, or irritation, they may be having an adverse reaction. The product should be immediately washed from the head. If the problem persists, advise the client to see a physician for follow up.

  • Can I apply KYO Reconstruction Treatment to the whole head of hair and then dry the hair with a dryer?

    No. The hair drying procedure should be done in stages, as described above. Dry two sections of the hair, then proceed to the next section. This will keep the product from releasing fumes.

  • What setting is used on the blow dryer to dry the hair after applying the solution?

    Cool to medium – this is very important to minimize any release of fumes in the air and hold six to eight inches away from the hair.

  • What Temperature of iron should be used?

    For Blond/damaged hair:
    Temperature up to 180ºC (350ºF)

    For Resistant hair:
    Temperature up to 230ºC (450ºF)

    For Normal hair:
    Temperature up to 210ºC (410ºF)

  • What product should my client use at home?

    KYO Home Maintenance Product to protect the life of the service.

  • Does the product contain Formaldehyde?

    No. Formaldehyde is not a cosmetic ingredient. The product does contain Methylene Glycol. However, trace amounts of Formaldehyde are found in the product and released during the service. If you or your client suspect a pre-existing allergy to Formaldehyde, Formalin or Methylene Glycol, this product should not be used.

  • Is the product safe for my clients and me?

    Yes, as long as the product is used according to manufacturer’s instructions, proper ventilation is provided and common sense hygienic practices are used. While our studies demonstrate the safety of our products, we believe it is prudent and responsible to use the products properly in order ensure the highest standards for safety.

  • Must I use air ventilation when performing these services?

    Yes, proper ventilation must be used at all times in a professional salon where an array of services are being conducted. These services create a cocktail of fumes that can create irritation. We have researched and found the best option for professional salon ventilation. We endorse Aerovex System and their Three Zone Protection approach to salon safety.
